party organized by the Apostolic Nunciature, Nairobi on his behalf on October

The farewell was attended by scores of diplomats, led by the

The outgoing Nuncio said he was leaving Kenya with great
memories of the country and its people, having served in the country for seven
years.

In May this year, the outgoing Apostolic Nuncio was involved
in a road accident in Rome and used a walking stick as he addressed the
congregation during the farewell party.
