KENYA: KEC hosts the PMS National Directors from English Speaking Africa
Kenya Episcopal Conference is hosting the National Directors of English Speaking Africa (NDESA) Regional Meeting that will be held in Nairobi, Kenya at Resurrection Garden from 25th October – 3rd November 2011.
The meeting will bring together National Pontifical Missionary Societies (PMS) Directors from African countries, namely Angola, Sao Tome, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, the Gambia and Sierra Leone.
It will be graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Timothy Lehane Basset SVD, General Secretary of the Pontifical Mission Society for the Propagation of the Faith, Rome and Msgr. John Dale, outgoing PMS National Director England and Wales.
The meeting which has the theme “How to make the Catholic Church in Africa more missionary minded in the light of new evangelization” will be officially opened by the Chairman, Kenya Episcopal Conference (KEC) Commission for Missions Rt. Rev. Anthony Ireri Mukobo, representing His Eminence John Cardinal Njue.
