TANZANIA: Students from Catholic owned schools shine in High School Examination Results

The recently released 2017 National Form Six Exam results in the country indicates that 95% of the students who studied at the Catholic Owned schools have qualified to join universities for further studies.

In a statement issued by the Head of Education Department of Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) Rev.Fr Raraiya Alphonce, out of 6,840 candidates who sat for the exams from Church owned schools, 6,495 candidates translating to 95% have qualified for university studies.   Fr Raraiya Alphonce applauded the Catholic Owned Schools’ administration including the Bishops for achieving one of the Catholic Church’s goal which is to empower the youth through education.   According to the information released by National Examination council of Tanzania three of the Catholic owned schools in the category of schools with more than 30 students are among the 10 best schools in the country in this year’s Exams, while the other three are among the 10 best in the category of schools with less than 30 students.
