The Body of the late Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wau, Rt. Rev. Rudolf Deng Majak is scheduled to arrive in Juba on Wednesday, March 22. This was announced by Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SCBC) Deputy Secretary-General.
The President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro of Juba and Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan, Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo are among those who will receive the body at Juba International Airport at 3:30 PM. Emeritus Bishop of Torit Rt. Rev. Paride Taban, other Bishops, priests, brothers and sisters and top government officials will join the reception of the remains of late Bishop Deng Majak, the Deputy Secretary-General has said.
The Body will stay in Juba for the night and after a requiem mass at St Theresa’s Cathedral, will be taken to Wau on Thursday, he explains.
