On the 22nd June, Rt. Rev Bernadin Mfumbusa handed over a second tranche of books purchased with the support of Germany based Catholic Charity – Church-in-Need to Ntungamo, Kibosho, and Peramiho Seminaries.

According to Bishop Mfumbusa of the Catholic Diocese of Kondoa, Tanzania, a total of Euro 10,000 was donated by Church-in-Need last year to buy books for Seminaries in the country. This is in accordance to the programme of supporting the formation of priests/ future leaders of the Church. “Thus, the first part of the books was given to six seminaries in the country –These include St Paul Kipalapala and St Charles Lwanga Seminaries which offer theology programme,” he said.

“One challenge is finding suitable books locally as there are no publishers of philosophy and theology books in the country,” Bishop Mfumbusa said adding that “The books had to be ordered through online venders such amazon.com.”
