SUDAN: Kidnapped Priests released

Two Sudanese catholic priests, kidnapped two weeks ago, were released on Monday January 30 unharmed.
Fr David Laraba Koja, acting Vicar General in the archdiocese of Khartoum, told Catholic Radio Network (CRN) News that Fr Joseph Makwey Mathod and Fr Silvestro Mogga have been released and despite their long and difficult ordeal they were well. He added that no ransom  was paid to the captors for their freedom.
Fr Laraba said Fr Joseph was wounded in the head and in one hand but he did not know the origin of the injuries.
The two priests were kidnapped on January 14 at Kenana parish, in the pastoral region of Kosti, and were taken to Kweik together with two cars and some belongings by the kidnappers.
